Job summary

Compass Homes is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker in the Burnley area to lead shifts, supervise staff and oversee placement plans. You will build positive relationships with children, safeguarding them while supporting their education and development.

The role requires 22+ years, NVQ Level 3 in the Children’s and Young People Workforce, and at least 2 years’ residential childcare experience with a valid driving license. A clear progression path to management is offered.

Qualifications

• Age 22 or above to meet Ofsted regulations.
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People Workforce.
• At least 2 years of experience in residential childcare.
• Valid manual driving license.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and supervise staff, manage rotas and risk assessments.
• Ensure placement plans are followed and education is supported.
• Safeguard and care for each child; provide guidance to residential workers.
• Build positive relationships with children to support their journey to adulthood.
