Job summary

Anderson Wright Consulting is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker for a Children's Residential Home in Broughton, Milton Keynes (MK10). The role involves leading shifts, coaching staff and supporting care plans in a therapeutic, child-centred environment.

Applicants should hold Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent) and have at least 2 years' experience in children's residential care, with strong safeguarding knowledge and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• To be considered, you should hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Experience leading shifts or supervising staff.
• Experience within a children's residential care setting.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding legislation and Regulations 2015.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts to deliver safe, high-quality, child-centred care.
• Coach and guide Residential Support Workers.
• Build positive relationships with children and young people.
• Support care plans, risk assessments and behaviour plans.
• Promote therapeutic, nurturing approaches to care.
• Ensure accurate records in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support education, healthcare, family contact and community activities.
• Collaborate with social workers and partner agencies.
