Job summary

YOURRECRUIT LIMITED is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker in Milton Keynes to lead shifts, supervise a team and ensure high-quality, child-centred care. The role focuses on safeguarding, care planning and collaboration with families and professionals.

The successful candidate will have at least 12 months’ experience in children’s residential care, a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, and a full UK driving licence. On-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential childcare setting is essential.
• Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting Residential Support Workers is desirable.
• Willingness to undertake on-call duties where required.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and manage the day-to-day running of the children’s home.
• Provide high-quality residential childcare in line with individual care plans.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.
• Support education, health, activities, life skills and independence for young people.
• Mentor and support Residential Support Workers, including inductions and supervision.
• Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and reviews.
• Work with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate record keeping, report writing and handovers.
