Job summary

Sgscare is seeking a Lead Practitioner for a Children’s Residential Home in Preston. This permanent role involves 8am–11pm rolling shifts (1 on 2 off) with rota-based sleep-ins (£60 per sleep). Salary £32,000–£38,880 based on 160 hours + 11 sleeps per month.

You will support the management team, lead junior staff, and contribute to care planning while ensuring high standards of care. Ongoing training and development are provided.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting, including those presenting challenging behaviours.
  • Relevant childcare qualification desirable.
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills required.
