Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker for a children's home in Wirral, Merseyside. The role focuses on leading a care team, supporting children with EBD, and ensuring high standards of welfare and regulatory compliance.

You will work closely with the Deputy and Home Manager, supervising staff, maintaining records, and ensuring a person-centred approach. A NVQ Level 4 or equivalent and flexible shifts including sleep shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior care role.
• Strong knowledge of OFSTED regulations and standards.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a mixture of shifts, including approximately one sleep shift per week.
• Relevant care qualification such as NVQ Level 4 or equivalent.

£38,000 + £70 per sleep, Full-Time

About the Role:

As Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of a children's home that specialises in supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You will work closely with the Deputy and Home Manager to uphold high standards of care, lead and motivate the care team, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your work will have a direct impact on the wellbeing and development of the children in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Deputy and Home Manager in daily operations of the home
• Assist children with EBD and managing challenging behaviours
• Lead, motivate, and supervise care staff
• Encourage and facilitate staff training and development
