Our client is seeking a full-time Senior Residential Childrens Support Worker to join their children's homes located in Burnley, East Lancashire.
This organisation provides a home for young people aged 10-17, accommodating up to four residents at a time in their homes in Burnley.
As a Senior Residential Childrens Support Worker, you will be an integral part of a dedicated Social Care team that creates a supportive and nurturing environment, promoting independence, safety, and well-being for the young people in their care.
Your role will involve assisting with day-to-day needs, participating in activities, and celebrating important milestones. You will collaborate with an established team to provide the essential care and support that positively impacts the lives of children.
As a Senior Residential Childrens Support Worker, you will have experience in a residential setting, particularly with young people facing emotional challenges or exhibiting difficult behaviours, and a genuine passion for working with children as well as a LEVEL 3 OR 4 IN RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE (this is essential).
In this position, you will provide support to the Registered and Deputy Manager by leading the team, regularly supervising, coaching, and engaging in key-working with both young people and staff.
Key Criteria:
Hours: You will work 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. You should be prepared to complete at least two sleep-ins each week.
