Job summary

CareTech is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help Dumfries youths. You’ll assist with daily routines, school prep, meals, and activities, with training provided if you have no prior experience.

Base pay £28,645–£29,464 per year plus £67.50 per sleep-in (10 per month adds £8,000+ annually). The role offers a fully paid induction, career development, and a supportive team dedicated to safe, meaningful outcomes for young people.

What You’ll Do

As a support worker, you will support young people with their daily routines, getting them ready for school, prepping for meal times and planning activities. You will also:

• Create a warm, homely environment by helping with light housekeeping
• Build strong, meaningful relationships and provide emotional support
• Plan and join fun activities like trips to the park, popcorn & movie nights or creative projects
• Keep essential records to ensure the best possible care.

Where You'll Do It

Cushathill is a beautiful, warm home nestled on the outskirts of Dumfries and Galloway. We are registered to support 4 young people. We have refurbished our home in order to provide the best facilities to support our young people, including new kitchen and open plan dining. We support children who have experienced trauma, have learning disabilities or display challenging behaviours.
