Job summary

CareTech Community Services is seeking a Team Leader/Senior Children’s Support Worker for Tower View in Foulridge, near Colne. You will supervise a team, support young people with daily routines, and help maintain a warm, home-like environment.

The role involves overseeing care plans, reporting to managers, and providing emotional support and activity planning. A Level 3/4 qualification and a UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Experience of supervising staff in a children's residential setting.
• Level 3/4 qualification in Children's Residential/Workforce.
• Manual UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience of supporting team members.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to cover shifts flexibly, including weekends on a rota.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines (getting ready for school, meals, activities).
• Supervise and mentor a team of support workers.
• Ensure highest level of care and timely updates to home management.
• Overnight sleep-ins (average of 8 per month).
• Create a warm, homely environment and promote individuality.
