Job summary

The Environment Agency seeks an experienced leader to head the Reservoir Regulation team, guiding regulation across England to ensure Reservoirs Act compliance for public safety. You will drive change, support a diverse workforce, and collaborate with senior leaders and external stakeholders to deliver high standards.

As head, you will shape priorities, lead continuous improvement, and manage strategic relationships across multi-agency partners, ensuring safe, effective regulation and reform

Qualifications

• Expertise in Regulation, Civil Engineering, Law or related field.
• Strategic leadership with ability to translate strategy into delivery.
• Proven track record driving high performance and psychological safety.
• Ability to generate innovative ideas and deliver value.
• Skilled at proportionate, risk-based decision-making under pressure.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders to secure outcomes.
