We are seeking a Senior Research Technician to join our laboratory as part of an ongoing research initiative focused on understanding the interactions between neurons and glia in Alzheimer’s disease.
You will be part of a team whose primary research goal is to elucidate the cellular responses that contribute to the development of Alzheimer’s disease. As the main point of contact between the Crick’s Biological Research Facility and the lab’s research staff, you will coordinate closely with team members to establish and manage study plans involving animal models.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international research environment, contributing to world-class science under the leadership of a renowned expert in Alzheimer’s biology.
The position is available from August and is funded by the UK DRI for two years initially.

You will have a Personal Licence, experience in maintaining transgenic mouse lines, and using animal-based project tracking software (MCMS, PyRAT, or equivalent), along with basic rodent handling and administration skills.
Experience working in a research laboratory environment and the ability to communicate and collaborate professionally with a diverse range of individuals are essential.
This role qualifies for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. UCL welcomes applications from international applicants requiring a visa.
Starting salary ranges from £43,000 to £44,000 per annum, including London Allowance.
