An established healthcare provider is seeking a dedicated senior registered nurse to join their Gastroenterology Research Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic senior band 6 registered nurse to join our Gastroenterology Research Team. Working with us offers a good work life balance as we mainly work normal working/office hours, Monday to Friday.
We are looking for somebody with prior clinical research experience to oversee the CRN Gastroenterology portfolio of studies. The post holder will require established clinical skills in addition to their research knowledge and experience. You will not be expected to be a specialist in Inflammatory Bowel Disease as you will work closely with the clinicians, practitioners and CNS team to deliver the research. Having experience as a band 5 research nurse is essential for this role.
The post holder will be required to have strong organisational, communication and IT skills to oversee the variety of studies within the portfolio with leadership and wider oversight from a research team lead. You would need to demonstrate an understanding and have experience of portfolio management including pipeline, expressions of interest, feasibility, setup, costing, recruitment and retention and strategies for meeting study metrics. The post holder will be responsible for the day to day management and recruitment to a variety of studies which include both non-interventional (observational) studies and more complex interventional commercial trials such as investigational medical products (CTIMP’s) predominantly with a focus on IBD treatment. This role requires competence in venous access and intravenous and subcutaneous drug administration skills as well as the ability to learn and demonstrate technical skills which will be required to perform trial specific activities such as endoscopy video recordings and collection of biopsy samples.
