Job summary

MBDA is seeking a highly capable professional to join the Portfolio Systems team in Bolton. The role focuses on leading the Engineering Design Record (EDR) delivery and coordinating with diverse stakeholders across UK programmes.

You will influence requirements, manage a small team, and contribute to strategic Portfolio objectives while developing your skills and advancing MBDA's collaboration with MOD.

Qualifications

• General understanding of weapon systems and missile design lifecycle.
• Comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders and building relationships across the Portfolio enterprise.
• Ability to lead and motivate small teams.
• Ability to work with, influence, and challenge senior MOD and MBDA management.
• Flexible mindset to tackle problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to take a big-picture view and focus on key tactical issues.
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering approaches and DOORS, and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Engineering Design Record (EDR) and related activities.
• Influence and shape UK Portfolio activities across projects and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to define and verify Portfolio requirements.
• Support wider Portfolio factors such as platform integration and financial performance.
• Develop junior colleagues and present work at Joint MOD/MBDA Portfolio Engineering Working group.
