Job summary

MBDA Bristol is seeking a leader to drive the Engineering Design Record (EDR) delivery within the UK Portfolio. You will work with a broad range of stakeholders across projects, navigating a fast-paced environment to deliver tangible outputs for MBDA and MOD.

This role involves leading a small team, shaping engineering activities, and enhancing portfolio coherence. A flexible, proactive mindset is required to manage priorities and deliver value across programmes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Systems Engineering approaches and practices.
• Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders and build effective relationships.
• Ability to lead and motivate small teams and develop junior colleagues.
• Ability to work with, influence, and challenge senior MOD/MBDA management.
• Flexible mindset to tackle problems with innovative solutions.
• Ability to take a big-picture view and focus on key tactical issues.
• Experience with requirement management and system design/trade analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the Engineering Design Record (EDR) within the UK Portfolio.
• Influence and shape engineering activities across multiple projects in a high-visibility role.
• Collaborate with the Portfolio Management Team to evolve processes and system coherence across the UK portfolio.
• Potentially travel within the UK to MBDA sites and present work to the Joint MOD/MBDA Portfolio Engineering Working Group.
