Job summary

Climax Studios is seeking a highly skilled engineer in the United Kingdom to develop advanced rendering technology for AAA games. You will leverage your expertise in C++ and modern graphics APIs like DirectX 12 and Vulkan to enhance rendering capabilities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in shipping rendering systems for AAA, film/VFX, XR, or simulation.
• Production experience with one of Metal, DirectX 12, Vulkan or GNM/GNMX.
• Familiarity with modern techniques like PBR, GI, and ambient occlusion.

Responsibilities

• Turn the art team’s vision into shippable, scalable rendering technology.
• Build and improve high-performance rendering features across PC, console, and Mac.
• Profile and resolve GPU/CPU bottlenecks.

Skills

Experience in rendering or engine engineering

Solid experience with modern C++

Experience with Metal, DirectX 12, Vulkan

Understanding of hardware-accelerated ray tracing

3D maths skills
