Job summary

Hangar 13 is seeking a seasoned Senior Rendering Engineer to push photorealistic visuals in Unreal Engine 5. You’ll bridge stock UE5 capabilities with custom rendering techniques across our Brighton, Brno, and Prague studios.

Collaborating with Lighting, Environment, and Tech Art teams, you will research, implement, and optimize rendering pipelines, ensuring performance and artistic fidelity on multi‑platform AAA projects.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in real-time computer graphics, shaders, and engine development.
• Advanced knowledge of C++ and multi-threaded programming techniques.
• Strong knowledge of modern Real-Time Rendering techniques, 3D math, and linear algebra.
• Proficient English communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work both collaboratively in a global team and independently to solve complex problems.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Advance, modify, and optimize Unreal Engine 5's stock rendering pipeline to meet performance and artistic demands.
• Collaborate with Lighting, Environment Art, and Tech Art/Shaders teams to align pipelines and realize creative vision.
• Research, develop, implement, and debug high-end photorealistic graphics for characters and large environments.
• Draft and deliver clear technical designs for audiences with varying technical backgrounds.
• Identify risks in the rendering pipeline and propose practical solutions.
• Navigate and maintain a large multi-platform codebase using advanced C++ and modern graphics APIs.
• Coordinate closely across studio locations and align with the Render Lead and local engineering anchors.
