Job summary

A Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineer (RME) Technician role at Amazon UK Services Ltd. involves leading a shift-based team in an operational site in the UK, ensuring safe equipment use and adherence to processes.

You’ll monitor uptime, perform preventive maintenance, and implement efficiency improvements across EU networks. You’ll work with SCADA and CMMS systems, report to your line manager, and may include weekend and night shifts as you gain experience within Amazon’s evolving maintenance

Qualifications

Experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.
Full Engineering indentured Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
Relevant experience in a technical leadership role.
Experience in automation or material handling equipment environments.
Advanced proficiency in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams to ensure correct processes.
Track equipment performance via visual checks, condition-based monitoring, and preventive maintenance; schedule servicing when required.
Supervise shift technicians and mentor Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
Resolve equipment issues to reduce downtime and support fast package processing.
Identify improvements and standardise maintenance processes across the EU network.
