Job summary

Amazon UK Services Ltd. is seeking a Senior Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician (RME) to lead maintenance on critical equipment at an operational site. You’ll monitor performance, supervise technicians, and implement upgrades to raise uptime across the EU network.

You will work shifts, including some weekends and nights, and collaborate with site leadership to ensure safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. The role offers progression within Amazon’s RME organisation.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics.
• Four-year UK certified apprenticeship or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate best practice on equipment safety and monitor processes.
• Track equipment performance with visual checks and preventive maintenance.
• Supervise shift technicians and be the first point of contact for RME engineers.
• Reduce downtime by solving equipment issues and implementing improvements.
• Help standardise processes across the EU network.
