They are looking to add to their impressive team and find a Sector Regulatory Executive.

Please note this is a hybrid position with 3 days based in Central London; only candidates within a commutable distance or willing to relocate will be considered.

The Role

Reporting to the Regulations Manager, this varied and rewarding role offers the opportunity to develop broad knowledge of food from a regulatory and policy perspective. Responsibilities include:

  1. Monitoring and analysing relevant scientific, technical, and regulatory developments across the UK and EU.
  2. Providing written summaries of regulatory changes and verbal updates to companies, colleagues, and sector trade bodies.
  3. Conducting member consultations and formulating policy positions, including responses to public meetings.
  4. Assisting with external representation of company policies, including interactions with government officials.
  5. Supporting and leading on individual policy areas and projects.
  6. Providing Secretariat support for committees, including preparing agendas, papers, and minutes.
The Person

The ideal candidate would be a food science graduate or from a similar discipline, with 1-2 years of UK food industry experience. A strong knowledge of UK and EU food law, particularly in food microbiology and food safety, is essential.

You should be a clear and personable communicator, comfortable engaging with external and internal stakeholders at all levels. Attention to detail is critical for producing accurate technical and regulatory summaries, managing various policy areas, and meeting deadlines.

You must be methodical, analytical, and a team player capable of handling multiple priorities. Strong organisational skills are essential, and administrative experience is beneficial for supporting meetings and tasks.
