An established industry player is seeking a dedicated professional to join their Sector Associations team. This role involves monitoring food safety regulations and liaising with various stakeholders, including government officials and industry experts. You will be responsible for providing insightful summaries of regulatory changes and supporting committees with administrative tasks. Location: Central London (Bloomsbury)
Salary: £41k with excellent benefits including 25 days holiday, private healthcare, leisure travel insurance, gym subsidy, interest-free season ticket loan and cycle-to-work scheme
Hours: 35 hours per week; hybrid working (2-3 days in the office per week)
This opportunity is part of the Sector Associations team, which sits in the broader Regulation and Science team at the Food and Drink Federation, the representative body of the UK’s largest manufacturing sector.
The role works with several food sector trade associations, keeping them up to date across a broad range of policy and regulatory requirements. You will be working closely with our policy experts across a range of food safety topics - for example Allergens, Microbiology, Residues and Contaminants - as well as keeping an overview of a range of broader policies like the National Food Strategy. You will work with technical experts in food manufacturing companies and need to confidently liaise with government officials and a wider range of stakeholders both in the UK and EU.
