This company are the go-to for business’ in need of technical advise, regulation and legislative guidance. They work to ensure their customers are achieving the highest standard of food safety and keep them informed of changes that occur in such a fast paced food industry. The time has come for them to add to their impressive team and find a Sector Regulatory Executive to join their team.

Please note this is a hybrid position with 3 days based in Central London, therefore we are only able to consider candidates who are within an commutable distance/ willing to relocate.

The Role

Reporting into the Regulations Manager, this is a varied and rewarding role, which will give you the opportunity to develop a broad knowledge of food from a regulatory and policy perspective. You will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and analysing relevant scientific, technical and regulatory developments across the UK and EU

• Providing written summaries of regulatory changes and verbal updates to companies, colleagues and sector trade bodies

• Conducting member consultations and formulating policy positions, including in response to public meetings

• Assisting with the external representation of the companies policies, including to government officials

• Supporting and leading on individual policy areas and projects

• Providing Secretariat support for committees, both technical and Board level, including preparing agendas, papers and minutes

The Person

This role would suit a food science graduate or another similar discipline, with a year or two of UK food industry experience. You’ll have a good knowledge of UK and EU food law, particularly in relation to food microbiology and food safety.

You’ll be a clear and personable communicator, at ease with speaking to external and internal stakeholders and all levels. A keen eye for detail will be critical in producing accurate written summaries of technical and regulatory information, allowing you to work across a variety of different policy areas and managing multiple deadlines.

You will be methodical and analytical in your approach and be a team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong organisational skills is a must, with admin experience helpful to assist in meetings and administrative tasks.
