Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Consultant – Regulatory Advice within the Advisory Services Group in the UK. You will lead workstreams, deliver regulatory analysis on price controls, performance frameworks, and assurance, and mentor junior colleagues.

The role offers hybrid working across UK offices with strong stakeholder engagement and opportunities to impact clients in utilities and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated sector or regulatory consulting environment (utilities preferred).
• Good understanding of regulatory frameworks, price controls, or performance and incentive regimes.
• Experience supporting price reviews or revenue-setting processes.
• Familiarity with assurance, audit, or governance concepts.
• Understanding of benchmarking, or performance measurement.
• Experience facilitating workshops or supporting senior stakeholder discussions.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with data and evidence.
• Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing regulator- or board-facing documents.
• Ability to manage tasks and priorities across multiple workstreams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams within larger engagements or deliver smaller assignments independently, delivering clear, evidence-based regulatory analysis and advice.
• Produce regulator-focused insights on price controls, performance frameworks and assurance.
• Support development of junior colleagues and collaborate with Principals and Directors.
• Identify improvement opportunities to reduce risk and improve client effectiveness and efficiency.
