Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Consultant – Regulatory Advice to deliver high‑quality regulatory analysis for clients in regulated sectors, leading workstreams and supporting junior colleagues.

You will work with Principals and Directors to provide evidence‑based guidance on price controls, performance frameworks, and assurance, while collaborating across UK offices in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated sector or regulatory consulting (utilities preferred).
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks, price controls, or performance and incentive regimes.
• Experience supporting price reviews or revenue-setting processes.
• Familiarity with assurance, audit, or governance concepts.
• Understanding benchmarking, or performance measurement.
• Experience facilitating workshops or supporting senior stakeholder discussions.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with data and evidence.
• Excellent written communication skills, with experience producing regulator-or board-facing documents.
• Ability to manage tasks and priorities across multiple workstreams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality regulatory advice to clients operating in regulated sectors.
• Lead workstreams within larger engagements or deliver smaller assignments independently, producing clear, evidence-based analysis and advice.
• Work closely with Principals and Directors while supporting the development of junior colleagues.
• Identify opportunities for clients to reduce risk or improve effectiveness and efficiency.
