Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Consultant – Regulatory Advice to deliver high‑quality regulatory analysis for clients in regulated sectors. You will lead workstreams within larger engagements or run smaller assignments independently, producing evidence‑based advice on price controls, performance frameworks and assurance.

You will work closely with Principals and Directors while mentoring junior colleagues, identifying improvement opportunities to reduce risk and improve client performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulated sector or regulatory consulting environment (utilities preferred).
• Good understanding of regulatory frameworks, price controls, or performance regimes.
• Experience supporting price reviews or revenue-setting processes.
• Familiarity with assurance, audit, or governance concepts.
• Understanding of benchmarking or performance measurement.
• Experience facilitating workshops or supporting senior stakeholder discussions.
• Strong analytical skills with data and evidence.
• Excellent written communication skills for regulator- or board-facing documents.
• Ability to manage tasks and priorities across multiple workstreams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead workstreams within larger engagements or deliver smaller assignments independently.
• Produce clear, evidence-based regulatory analysis and advice on requirements, price controls, performance frameworks, and assurance.
• Work closely with Principals and Directors while supporting the development of junior colleagues.
• Identify wider improvement opportunities for clients to reduce risk and improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Build internal and external relationships to guide client strategic thinking and growth of the advisory practice.
