Leaders in Care in York is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a well-established residential care home. The role demands strong operational control and a genuine commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running, ensure safety and dignity, maintain CQC compliance, and drive performance through audits and team development.

Qualifications

• Proven Registered Manager experience within elderly residential, nursing or dementia care.
• Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations and safeguarding.
• Experience managing occupancy, team performance and home finances.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or working towards it.
• A visible, organised and commercially aware leader with high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring safe, effective and dignified care.
• Maintain CQC compliance, safeguarding standards and robust governance.
• Lead, develop and retain a high-performing care team.
• Manage occupancy, referrals, assessments and admissions.
• Build trusted relationships with residents, families, professionals and commissioners.
• Deliver against budget, staffing and operational targets.
• Use audits, action plans and performance data to drive continual improvement.
