Job summary

Resicare Alliance LTD is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead one of our residential children's homes, delivering high-quality care to children with SEMH. You will oversee compliance, operational management, and staff development while ensuring positive outcomes for each child.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, safeguarding, and stakeholder engagement with Local Authorities and Ofsted.

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification or Level 4+ qualification for working with children.
• Level 4+ Management or Leadership qualification.
• Enhanced DBS check valid for working with children and young people.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the senior management team to ensure the home operates effectively and meets quality standards.
• Line manage staff, providing mentorship, supervision, and professional development.
• Oversee referrals, admissions, and care practices to meet individual needs.
• Deliver the service within budget and occupancy targets, supporting continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual obligations, including Ofsted requirements.
• Monitor care plans, risk assessments, and activity programmes, ensuring regular review.
• Investigate incidents, complaints, and allegations, acting as investigating officer where required.
• Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, LADO, Ofsted, and other professionals.
• Fulfil Health & Safety and safeguarding responsibilities for children and staff.
