Job summary

Freedom Leisure, a charitable leisure trust operating 130+ centres in England and Wales, is hiring a Senior Recreation Assistant. You will help maintain welcoming, safe, and clean centres and contribute to positive customer experiences.

We provide full training and a clear career path. The role offers 37 hours per week on a rota basis across weekdays and weekends, with DBS check and NPLQ qualification supported if needed.

Qualifications

• An ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and also to all levels of staff.
• Well developed interpersonal skills.
• Team orientated approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and demonstrate interest and be supportive of the work of staff and colleagues
• To be able to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers
• Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
• NPLQ qualification or equivalent - training can be provided for suitable candidates
• Enhanced DBS check to be carried out

Responsibilities

• Ensure centres are welcoming, clean and safe for all customers and staff.
• Support all organisational objectives through day-to-day duties in recreation facilities.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to progress within Freedom Leisure.
