Ashfield District Council is seeking a Senior Recovery Officer to join our Revenues and Benefits Service in Nottingham. You will lead on collecting Council Tax, Business Rates, housing benefit overpayments and sundry debts, delivering excellent service with sound decision making.

The role involves preparing cases for court, representing the Council in hearings, and supporting colleagues with complex recovery issues.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in local government Revenues or in a recovery role is essential.

Responsibilities

• Collect Council Tax, Business Rates, overpaid Housing Benefit, and sundry debts.
• Prepare cases for legal proceedings and represent the Council at courts.
• Support colleagues with complex recovery and enforcement issues.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and sound judgment.
