Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is recruiting an experienced RMX Operations Manager for a senior, hands-on role based in Warwickshire, overseeing two batching plants. The role emphasizes operational ownership, production performance, and staff management to ensure high-quality ready-mix concrete and reliable service.

This position requires strong knowledge of ready-mix operations, batching plant management, and BS I quality/compliance standards, with travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with ready-mix operations in batching plants.
• Understanding of concrete production and plant operations.
• Strong knowledge of quality/compliance standards (BSI).
• Familiarity with mix designs and cube testing processes.
• Experience leading operational teams and managing performance.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day operational responsibility across two ready-mix batching plants.
• Manage production performance and plant efficiency.
• Support batching ops and ensure consistent production standards.
• Manage dispatch, deliveries, and service performance.
• Lead batchers, drivers, yard staff and operational employees.
• Manage staff performance, discipline and recruitment.
• Coordinate plant and fleet maintenance.
• Handle customer issues and complaints.
• Monitor wastage, downtime and operational efficiency.
• Maintain BSI procedures and compliance.
• Support mix-design control and concrete quality standards.
• Ensure cube testing and quality processes are completed correctly.
• Produce regular operational reports for the business owner.
• Collaborate with the wider concrete pumping operation when required.
• Drive continuous improvement across the business.
