Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an Interface Engineering Manager to support a major railway programme in London. The role is permanent and safety-critical, providing technical leadership across electrical engineering and multidisciplinary rail interfaces to ensure safe, efficient integration in line with programme requirements.

The successful candidate will manage interfaces across track, signalling, OLE, electrical and plant systems, maintain interface registers, and coordinate with Network Rail,

Qualifications

• HNC, HND or degree in engineering (electrical knowledge preferred).
• Chartered Engineer status or progress towards chartership is desirable.
• Membership of a relevant professional institution.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and railway governance is desirable.
• Personal Track Safety certification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical interfaces across the railway systems programme.
• Maintain interface registers, Interface Control Documents, actions and risks.
• Coordinate communication between Network Rail, HS2, designers and suppliers.
• Organise interface meetings and stakeholder reviews with documented decisions.
• Manage interface records in the HS2 Relatics system and track obligations.
• Support systems integration across track, signalling, OLE and power systems.
• Monitor interfaces through design, construction, testing and commissioning.
• Support reviews, audits, change control, configuration management and assurance.
