Job summary

NES Fircroft is recruiting a Rail Systems Integration Engineer for a major UK rail infrastructure programme. You will coordinate interfaces across design, construction and handover, ensuring seamless delivery and robust systems integration.

Working within a collaborative team, you will manage interfaces between railway systems, civil works, stations and contractors, and contribute to assurance, safety and interoperability activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience on large multidisciplinary rail infrastructure projects.
• Proven background in systems integration and design coordination.
• Experience preparing and managing technical assurance documentation.
• Chartered status (or working towards chartership) with a recognised professional institution.

Responsibilities

• Support integration of complex railway systems by managing technical interfaces.
• Manage interfaces from design through construction and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain Functional Specifications, Architecture Specifications, and ICDs.
• Coordinate design interfaces between rail systems, civil works, stations, and third parties.
• Chair systems integration and design coordination meetings.
• Support change management, risk identification and opportunity management.
• Provide input to commercial and contractual matters as required.
• Coordinate with assurance, construction, logistics and delivery teams.
