Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior Engineering Manager to lead railway systems and signalling projects. You will oversee all engineering aspects, report to the Project Manager/Director, and manage a broad team of engineers across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include setting safety and engineering culture, coordinating with Sub-contractors and the Client, and driving on-time, on-budget delivery while mentoring junior engineers and developing high-performing teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive UK railway project engineering experience.
• Leadership experience.
• Chartered Engineer.
• Experience of undertaking CEM responsibilities on Network Rail infrastructure.
• Understanding of risk management, CDM and CSM.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to and coordinate the efforts of the engineering teams.
• Foster a high-performance culture through motivation, collaboration and clear communication.
• Set the safety and engineering culture for the project.
• Act as focal point for technical issues and coordinate between AtkinsRéalis, Sub-contractors and Client.
• Address and resolve scope cost changes and schedule impact issues with the Project Manager.
• Ensure achievement of safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives.
• Develop and coordinate Engineering sub-contracts.
• Lead inter-disciplinary communication, activities and reviews.
• Mentor and develop project engineers to grow professionally.
