Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Group is seeking a senior Engineering Manager for rail systems and signalling projects. The role leads multi-disciplinary engineering teams, sets safety and technical culture, and coordinates with client and subcontractors across sites in London, Glasgow, York, Birmingham, Derby and Bristol.

The ideal candidate holds Chartered Engineer status with extensive UK railway project experience and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• Essential railway project engineering experience.
• Leadership experience.
• Chartered Engineer.
• Experience of undertaking CEM responsibilities on Network Rail infrastructure.
• Understanding of risk management, CDM and CSM.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to and coordinate the efforts of the engineering teams across disciplines.
• Set safety and engineering culture for the project and ensure objectives.
• Manage budget, scope changes and schedule impacts with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate between AtkinsRéalis, sub-contractors and client for technical issues.
• Lead inter-disciplinary reviews and ensure safety, quality, schedule and cost targets.
• Develop and mentor project engineers to grow professionally and deliver excellence.
