Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Rail Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance team in the UK. You will lead safety engineering initiatives, coordinate multi‑disciplinary reviews and drive the development of system definitions for rail projects across our offices.

Ideal candidates will be Chartered Engineers with a strong track record in railway safety, interoperability and delivering technical solutions.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent required.
Chartered Engineer status strongly preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Experience in railway systems safety and assurance, including interoperability.

Responsibilities

Develop System Engineering plans and processes and system definitions.
Manage technical requirements using DOORS and ComplyPro; deliver systems engineering processes.
Evaluate interrelationships of requirements and design; develop work packages for clients.
Provide specialized technical input to studies and design in area of expertise.
Participate in multidisciplinary review; develop cost estimates and budgets.
