Job summary
Amey is seeking a Permanent Lead Senior Civil Engineer to join the Structures assessments team (CAFA account) with hybrid working in Liverpool, York, Cardiff or Crawley. The role involves leading the assessment of railway structures, including bridges, tunnels and canopies, ensuring safety and compliance with Amey and Network Rail processes.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering required.
- Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer status preferred or actively pursued.
- Proven experience with railway structural inspection, assessment and design.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical assessments/design remits and prepare calculations, reports and drawings.
- Provide on-site technical leadership during inspections.
- Maintain health, safety and environmental compliance within the project team.
- Lead and mentor junior staff in producing technical outputs and feedback.
- Support staff training and career development initiatives.
- Liaise with clients and third parties to maintain strong relationships.
- Ensure adherence to CDM and relevant regulations during structures assessments.
- Assist with cost estimation and delivery to programme and budget.
