Arup is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead safety risk and reliability activities within the rail sector. You will drive hazard analyses, risk assessments and safety case development, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver compliant safety arguments and assurance across projects.

The role involves working with Independent Safety Assessors and supporting innovative, decarbonisation and digital rail initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience leading safety and risk assessment programmes (qualitative and quantitative).
• Strong system safety engineering exposure in rail projects.
• Proven ability to apply UK/European railway standards and directives.

Responsabilités

• Lead delivery of defined safety assurance tasks, work packages or small projects.
• Deliver system safety activities: hazard identification, analysis and risk assessment.
• Chair and facilitate safety workshops with clients, partners and specialists.
• Coordinate and implement safety and risk engineering activities, including safety case development.
• Support clients adopting new technologies and major programme challenges such as decarbonisation and digitalisation.
• Collaborate with Independent Safety Assessors / ISA to support safety evidence.
