Job summary

TED Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join in Birmingham on rail projects. You will oversee commercial activities, manage a small QS team, and collaborate with supply chain and contractors on cost variation assessments.

NEC3/NEC4 knowledge is essential. The role requires a BSc in Quantity Surveying with over eight years of QS experience, pre- and post-contract exposure, and ideally RICS qualification or strong rail commercial management background.

Qualifications

• Rail project experience required.
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• RICS qualification or strong rail commercial management experience is desirable.
• 8+ years of quantity surveying experience.
• Experience across pre- and post-contract QS activities.
• Knowledge of NEC3 contracts and ideally NEC4 as well.
• Cost variation assessments and commercial audit experience would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Deliver commercial activities as part of a team.
• Manage a small team of Quantity Surveyors.
• Collaborate with the supply chain and contractors on cost variation assessments.
• Provide an independent view to the Head of Commercial.
