Job summary

TED Recruitment in Birmingham is looking for a Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to join a rail-focused client office. You will bring solid experience in quantity surveying and commercial management on rail projects, with NEC3/NEC4 exposure.

You will support the delivery of commercial activities, work with the supply chain and contractors on cost variation assessments, and provide an independent view to the Head of Commercial.

Qualifications

Experience in quantity surveying and commercial management on rail projects.
Familiar with NEC3 contracts; NEC4 preferred.
BSc or equivalent in Quantity Surveying; RICS qualification is a plus.
4–5+ years of quantity surveying experience; pre and post contract work.
Able to supervise junior QS colleagues.
Experience in cost variation assessments and commercial audits.

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of commercial activities within delivery teams.
Collaborate with supply chain and contractors on cost variation assessments.
Provide an independent view to Head of Commercial.
Work on rail/infrastructure and building projects.
Negotiate and manage NEC-based contracts.
