Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager (Rail) to lead infrastructure projects in the West Midlands, including the Birmingham depot programme. This 12-month contract offers hybrid working and a daily rate up to £700.

You will apply project lifecycle methodologies (APM/PRINCE2), manage contractors and stakeholders, and ensure delivery to time and budget. Chartered Engineer or equivalent, NEC4 experience and proficiency with CEMAR and MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer or equivalent level of qualifications.
• Experience in delivering projects using APM or PRINCE2.
• Knowledge of Contracts and Contract Management, specifically NEC4 Contract.
• Familiarity with project management software and financial systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects safely, to time, cost and quality using robust lifecycle methodologies (APM/PRINCE2).
• Provide governance and reporting in accordance with required processes and timelines.
• Define project scope, goals, milestones, and project team roles.
• Establish and implement the project plan with tasks, milestones and resources.
• Manage project teams and external contractors and maintain collaboration.
• Track progress and report costs and variances to stakeholders.
• Develop governance structures including working groups and steering committees.
• Manage project risks including financial, reputational, quality, environmental and HSE.
