Nuclear Transport Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead Rail category management and drive compliant, commercially effective supply chains. You will head a procurement team, guide sourcing strategies, and support bids while managing high-value contracts.

The role requires senior stakeholder engagement, risk management and the ability to deliver under governance. Hybrid working and career development opportunities are available.

• Lead procurement activity in regulated, industrial environment.
• Design and run compliant procurement competitions.
• Manage, coach and develop people.
• Strong category-management/strategic-sourcing experience.
• Manage multiple complex projects to deadlines.
• Hold suppliers and internal stakeholders to account.
• Develop and negotiate contractual terms and conditions.
• Support bids, proposals or business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team to deliver compliant, value-adding procurement solutions.
• Manage the Rail category and align plans with business strategies.
• Develop sourcing and supply-chain solutions to support bids and projects.
• Lead complex procurement exercises and act as Tender Assessment Team Chair as needed.
• Review and approve sourcing strategies and contract award recommendations.
• Oversee procurements and contracts up to 500,000.
• Ensure procurement activity complies with legislation and governance.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Negotiate with suppliers and draft contractual terms.
• Ensure contracts deliver expected outcomes.
• Build relationships across NTS, NDA and wider market.
• Provide management information to senior stakeholders.
• Support bids and new business opportunities.
• Represent NTS at internal and external forums.
• Promote inclusive culture and continuous improvement.
