Nuclear Transport Solutions in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead the Rail category, shaping sourcing strategies and managing the procurement team to deliver compliant, value-driven contracts for critical transport services.

You will collaborate with Commercial, Business Development and Project Management to support bids, mitigate commercial risk and drive continuous improvement across supply chains, while aligning with governance and regulatory

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading procurement in regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Experience designing and running compliant procurement competitions.
• Experience managing, coaching and developing people.
• Strong category-management or strategic-sourcing experience.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects to demanding deadlines.
• Track record of holding suppliers and internal stakeholders to account.
• Experience developing and negotiating contractual terms and conditions.
• Strong supplier negotiation and contract-management experience.
• Experience supporting bids, customer proposals or business-development activity.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team to deliver compliant, commercially effective procurement solutions.
• Manage the Rail category and align plans with NTS and business strategies.
• Develop sourcing and supply-chain solutions to support bids and project delivery.
• Lead complex procurement exercises and act as Tender Assessment Team Chair where required.
• Review and approve sourcing strategies and contract award recommendations within delegated authority.
• Oversee procurements, contracts and purchase orders with values up to 500,000.
• Ensure procurement activity complies with legislation, governance and NTS policies.
• Identify commercial and supply-chain risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Negotiate with suppliers and develop contractual terms.
• Ensure contracts deliver desired commercial and operational outcomes.
• Develop strong relationships across NTS, NDA group and wider supply market.
• Provide clear management information and reporting to senior stakeholders.
• Support the wider Commercial function with customer proposals and new opportunities.
• Represent NTS at internal and external forums.
• Promote an inclusive culture of respect and continuous improvement.
