Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Project Manager with rail/infrastructure experience to lead delivery on major programmes. You will work across rail and wider infrastructure projects, coordinating clients, contractors and consultants to keep complex programmes moving.

The successful candidate will have NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge, strong reporting and communication skills, and a degree or professional qualification.

Qualifications

• Experience on light rail, heavy rail or wider rail/infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
• Experience across budgets, costs, risks and programmes.
• Stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
• Experience with contractors and consultants throughout delivery.
• Understanding of CDM responsibilities from a client perspective.
• Strong reporting, communication and organisational skills.
• A relevant degree or professional qualification.
• Experience in construction consultancy or client-side environment is beneficial.
• MRICS, MCIOB or MAPM accreditation of interest.

Responsibilities

• Work across light rail, heavy rail and wider infrastructure projects.
• Support major projects and frameworks through delivery and implementation.
• Monitor programme, cost, risk and overall project performance.
• Work within NEC3 and NEC4 contractual environments.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and key stakeholders.
• Track project actions, milestones and deliverables.
• Support project governance, assurance and risk management processes.
• Produce clear project reporting and communicate progress to clients and stakeholders.
• Identify potential issues or programme deviations and help drive solutions.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and project teams.
