Pure Talent Group is seeking a Senior Plant Technician / Mobile Field Service Engineer for rail maintenance. The role covers maintenance, fault-finding and repair of large On-Track Maintenance Trains across the UK, with travel to multiple sites and overnight stays.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical, electrical or maintenance engineering background, strong fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence. The position offers a superb salary, overtime potential and extensive training.

Qualifikationen

• Recognised Mechanical, Electrical or Maintenance Engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship.
• Strong hands-on experience maintaining, diagnosing and repairing complex machinery.
• Excellent mechanical/electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to diagnose complex faults and implement effective solutions.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and maintenance docs.
• Capable of independent repairs with good organisation and communication.
• Commitment to health and safety and clean maintenance records.
• Willingness to travel extensively and hold a UK driving licence.

Aufgaben

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and inspections on On-Track Maintenance Trains.
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform reactive repairs.
• Carry out major repairs, component replacements and modifications.
• Investigate recurring faults and implement long-term fixes.
• Support reliability and operational availability of rail maintenance equipment.
• Travel to various UK locations and provide technical assistance to other engineers.
• Order parts and maintain maintenance records and reports.
• Ensure all work complies with engineering standards and safety requirements.
