Job summary

Pure Talent Group is recruiting for a Mobile Maintenance Train Mechanical Fitter in Basingstoke. You will cross train into rail engineering, receive full training, and work on advanced maintenance trains with a clear career progression.

The role requires mechanical experience, a full UK driving licence, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Initial training leads to progression to Senior roles with major salary increases.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering experience.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent practical experience).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding ability.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Able to work days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service Mobile Maintenance Trains.
• Fault finding and repairs to keep trains safe and reliable.
• Prepare trains for overnight operation.
• Work across depots and at Basingstoke base with occasional travel.
• Assist with overhauls and routine inspections.
