Job summary

Pure Talent Group Ltd is seeking a Mobile Mechanical Fitter to service rail track maintenance trains across the UK. The role includes a £44,000 basic salary, paid travel time, overtime, and a company van with a fuel card. Permanent, full-time, field-based with travel and away-from-home requirements.

No rail experience required, training provided, and long-term career progression opportunities across a national network.

Qualifications

• Completed recognised engineering apprenticeship or relevant Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance qualification.
• Experience with hands-on maintenance and fault-finding on complex machinery.
• Willingness to travel across the UK and work nights/weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance and servicing of rail maintenance trains.
• Daily and weekly maintenance inspections and routine checks.
• Mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic system faults.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Coordinate parts, fuel deliveries and stock for trains.
• Travel to allocated locations in company van and stay away from home as required.
