Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join the HS2 programme in Birmingham or London. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, reviewing contractor designs and protecting architectural quality as the project moves through contractor design toward delivery.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, maintaining architectural intent across complex facilities, and ensuring compliance with UK/EU standards.

Qualifications

• Professional experience as an Architect within rail, major infrastructure or another highly complex multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong architectural design experience, including detailed design and construction/site delivery.
• Experience reviewing, checking and validating designs produced by contractors or external design teams.

Responsibilities

• Review, challenge and validate developing designs with the contractor to meet project requirements and standards.
• Maintain architectural intent through detailed design and delivery across a large, complex depot facility.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure design quality and approvals.
