Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a Band 7 Clinical Scientist - Radiotherapy Physicist based at St James's University Hospital, Leeds. The role covers treatment planning, dosimetry, imaging and QA, with opportunities to contribute to research and innovation within a dynamic radiotherapy service.

The successful candidate will hold HCPC registration (or be within 12 months of registration) and have postgraduate training in radiotherapy physics, MR imaging experience

Qualifications

• Good (1st or 2nd class) honours degree in a relevant subject and MSc in radiotherapy physics (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist or working to achieve within 12 months of recruitment.
• Post-graduate training within a structured programme including radiotherapy physics and/or imaging (MR advantageous).
• Qualifications/experience to act as an Operator under IR(ME)R within radiotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Support radiotherapy physics activities including treatment planning and dosimetry.
• Imaging for radiotherapy and equipment QA.
• Teaching and training of radiotherapy staff.
• Engage in research projects and clinical trials.
