Job summary

AVEVA seeks an experienced R&D Member of Technical Staff II to translate requirements into scalable web and cloud applications. You will contribute to architecture, develop complex software modules and guide junior engineers in estimation and delivery.

You will work across Azure/AWS cloud platforms, apply secure coding practices, and collaborate with distributed teams to deliver robust solutions in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply and communicate object-oriented programming concepts, design patterns, and design principles.
• Proven proficiency in C#, .NET 8 or 10, REST APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
• Understanding of serverless and microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of security, logging, and performance considerations in software architecture.
• Proven ability to build high-performance and scalable application modules.
• Develop automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective written and verbal communication.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum environments and distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Use multiple programming languages and development tools to design, build, test, implement, and support web and cloud software applications.
• Contribute to software architecture and design activities as required.
• Collaborate with technology stakeholders to define and evolve the technology framework.
• Contribute to defining delivery timelines during release planning and guide junior team members in effort estimation.
• Execute complex development tasks including secure coding, code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and documentation.
