UKRI - UK Research and Innovation in Oxfordshire invites applications for a Senior Quantum Scientist (AMO) within the NAQC team. The role focuses on designing and deploying neutral atom quantum computing sub-systems and contributing to system-level architecture.

The successful candidate will work hands-on in a laser lab, collaborate across teams, publish results, and help shape the national NAQC programme. Security clearance (CTC) is required.

Formación

• PhD-level education in physics/engineering or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge of quantum computing and related technologies.
• Hands-on experience developing, operating and troubleshooting experimental quantum systems.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, assemble and optimise neutral atom quantum computing subsystems.
• Develop experiments to characterise performance and improve qubit fidelity.
• Contribute to integration of subsystems into full‑stack platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to advance NAQC programme.
