Job summary

Full Circle Technical Recruitment is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Hampton/South West London. The role is hybrid, three days in office or on site and involves commercial ownership of major water/utility civil projects valued over £5m.

You will manage procurement, subcontractor packages, costs, and contract administration, reporting to the Commercial Manager and supporting junior staff within a major design-and-build contractor environment.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent commercial qualification.
• Experience managing projects valued above £5m.
• Experience procuring and managing large-value subcontract packages.
• Experience within utilities, water, civil engineering or MEICA.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC3 and/or IChemE contracts.
• Strong commercial, contractual and stakeholder management skills.
• Chartered membership or progress towards membership is advantageous.
• Experience managing or developing junior commercial staff would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of projects and major work packages.
• Managing projects with values in excess of £5m.
• Procurement and commercial management of high-value subcontract packages.
• Liaising with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control cost.
• Working collaboratively with the client and wider project team.
• Managing the main contract and ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are raised.
• Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation.
• Managing subcontractor performance.
• Preparing and agreeing applications for payment.
• Preparing project cost and value reports.
• Managing budgets and forecasts.
• Supporting the management and development of junior commercial staff.
• Maintaining strong commercial relationships across project teams and the supply chain.
