Job summary

RSE, a leading MEICA engineering company, is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial activities on Scotland and the North of England water projects. You will lead a team of surveyors, oversee procurement, risk/value analysis, and reporting across pre-award to completion.

The role requires a RICS qualification, NEC contract experience, and strong communication. You will drive commercial strategies, cost control, and client liaison while ensuring best practice and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• RICS recognised qualification (or equivalent)
• Proven Quantity Surveying experience
• Experience setting commercial strategies, procurement, cost/value reporting
• Experience with NEC contracts
• Ability to manage a team of commercial staff
• Excellent communication skills
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Involvement in pre-award activities such as tender reviews, risk/value analysis and evaluation as well as advising on procurement strategies
• Running of specific portfolio of projects and frameworks, incorporating all facets of commercial/contractual administration and liaison from pre-award and invitation to tender stage through to completion
• Preparation, development, and analysis of framework wide commercial reports both internally and for the Client(s)
• Tracking the payment status of projects and programmes/frameworks
• Notifying the Managing QS of individual project and wider programme/framework performance and expectations whilst identifying risks and opportunities as they may materialise
• Carry out all other tasks as requested within the post holders appropriate skill set
